Reminiscence
Exhibition
Exalt Festival - 2026
An exploration of memory through interactive systems, where human presence leaves temporary traces that continuously reshape a shared visual environment.
Overview
Reminiscence explores how memory is accumulated, transformed and shared through interactive systems. Particle traces, fragmented presences and scanned objects converge into an evolving landscape where individual experiences gradually dissolve into a collective visual archive.

Interactive UI for BPM Scanning & Aura Generation
technical process
Reminiscence combines computer vision, real-time graphics and physical interaction into a single responsive system. The installation is driven by a Raspberry Pi interface connected to a TouchDesigner application running on the main computer. A Kinect continuously captures visitor silhouettes while a document scanner digitizes physical objects. Both inputs are synchronized through UDP communication and merged into a particle-based visual archive projected in real time.

Closing note
As visitors continuously contribute new scans, the installation evolves into a living archive where no individual trace remains fixed. Memories accumulate, overlap and dissolve into a shared particle landscape, allowing the work to transform long after its initial state has disappeared.
